EA Being Sued Over Battlefield 1943 PS3 Deal

It looks like EA is being sued for not living up to their offer of a free copy of Battlefield 1943 with Battlefield 3 pre-orders:

It also calls EA out on its shoddy "make up" deal, pointing out that offer had been made, and as such had nothing to do with compensation for the loss of Battlefield 1943.

The suit ultimately alleges that EA "misled and profited from thousands of their customers by making a promise that they could not, and never intended, to keep".
I'm not a PS3 user, but I'm glad to see this. Those greasy cash chuckers at EA have been getting away with far too much these days, and I'm relieved that someone out there finally has the balls to do something about it.

I'm glad to see this, even though I play exclusively on PC.

No, the case never amounted to anything. After hearing of the lawsuit, EA quickly agreed to make vouchers available for the free copies of Battlefield 1943.

You can visit the official site for voucher redemption Here.

Oof. They should've just let the case go through. It would've taken five years to clear up anyways.
