    DX11 error, can't run Battlefield 3

Im getting the same error that a lot of people are getting but none of the other fixes work for me. So I am going to post my specs here and hope.

The error is on game start and says:

Failed creating D3D device of at least the version 10.0 on adapter "AMD
Radeon HD 6800 Series" with driver "11.10
    (8.902-111012a-127455C-ATI)". Error is DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED ("Unsupported.").

Now I looked around and apparently this means my card doesnt have the Pixel Shaders 4.1 version or the vertex shaders. Which is wrong. As you can see, i have a brand new 6800 series (6850) with the latest drivers. And I have DX 11. Ill post the first page of my DX diag for you too. Am I missing a patch? Is there a download link for the shaders (which i should have)?

I also checked out the CANIRUNIT site and it says that the vertex and pixel shaders are my problem, but when i look up if i can run the sims 3 (which i can) it says I have them. Any ideas?

I've got the exact same thing happening to me.
I've been in contact with ATI, they haven't been able to solve the issue. I've got a 6970, and they have just said to me to revert back to 11.10 Preview 2 drivers and try that, but it still hasn't worked.
A fix from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

It's quite obvious that we need to wait for somekinda update from officials, there is nothing we can do even if we got DX11 already.

I think it's just that we have directx 11 but our graphic card doesn't support directx 10 or higher because if i look at my spec of graphic card it sais that it supports directx 9 and not higher..

Iam sure is that its ur DirectX that causing your problem . and sure too thatBF3 needs directx11. seems u having the dx 10 running and your gfx card recognize the dx11 but fail to load the dedicated driver.

try to just download a clean directx11 version and install it up. You can find a free clean 11 version here on Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/download/en....aspx?id=17431

Try to clear Origin cache and windows temp files cache after the update too, then reboot
